AchieveIt Educational Services offers a FREE Summer Academy during which students are engaged in interactive
learning projects designed to develop critical thinking skills, stimulate creativity, enhance oral and written communication skills, and foster a love for learning. The projects are interdisciplinary and challenge students
to solve real world problems through research and investigation. Students will receive 30 hours of instructional
time over the course of a 2-‐week period. Upon completion of the projects, the students will demonstrate the
culmination of their work in a presentation to their families, friends, and community members.
Advance registration is required. Limted students will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

For grades 3-5. Some advance knowledge of how to use a computer would be helpful, but not required. From 10 a.m.-12 noon, the students will work in the library's computer lab.
In Order to use the computers at the library as required for this program, EACH participating youth MUST have a Clayton County Library card in advance of beginning this series. A parent must be present to apply for a library card for a child under age 18. Go to How To Get a Clayton County PINES Library Card for a list of the acceptable forms of I.D. a parent is required to bring to the library to apply for a card for his or her child.
